In this sermon from 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 titled “Grace,” Pastor Battle reminds us that grace is critical to the Christian life; sometimes, all we can do is walk by God’s grace as God gives us the grace to deal with suffering. Paul’s narrative reminds us that we can learn lessons through unrelenting thorns (vs. 8-9). More specifically, the thorns in our lives, while painful and difficult, remind us of our limitations; they demonstrate our humanity, humility, and need for God (vs. 8-9). But ultimately, we can brag on God because God’s grace allows God to do what only God can do (v.10). God can still show up in our situations with His power and move for our good even when we feel weak or hopeless.
