God, Keep Your Hands On Me (Pt. 2)
In this next sermon in the series “God, Keep Your Hands On Me,” Pastor Battle preaches from Exodus 1:6-12, 20-21; Ex. 2-3 to encourage us that in every season, God’s hand can keep us and allow us to remain productive no matter our struggles. To continue being fruitful in the face of difficulties, we have to in fact, learn how to survive & multiply even in bitter seasons; despite their captivity and being hated because of their productivity, the Israelites are still able to work and grow (Ex. 1:8-12). We must also avoid toxic responses, understanding that even though we have opportunities to act crazy, God can still use us (Ex. 2:11-12, 15). Finally, we should learn how to serve faithfully and turn to see God in strange & unfamiliar things (Ex. 3:1-6). Moses encounters the strange sight of a burning bush, but it is there where he meets God and God begins to prepare him for the work he is to do - leading the Israelites out of slavery. We, too, may not feel prepared or that we are the right person, but if we open ourselves up to meeting God in strange places, God will work in and through us for His glory.
