Dear God, Can I Get A Little Help?
In this sermon titled “Dear God, Can I Get A Little Help?” from John 5:2-9; 14-15, Pastor Battle explores how as God grows us, we still need God’s help along the way. Stretching seasons are challenging, but when we are willing to work, God steps in. More specifically, God changes our focus (vs. 7-9). God shifts us our attention away from our conditions that make our lives difficult to the Jesus that can do something about our predicament. God will also help us focus on God’s power and timing rather than people; even when people can’t help us, God can do anything but fail. Finally, when God gives us instructions, we should accept God’s Word, get up, and keep practicing the faith (vs. 14-15). Once God shows up for us, our journey does not stop with our healing or deliverance. Rather, we have a responsibility to keep practicing the faith so that others might grow in their belief and trust in God.
