Quit Playin, Church (Pt. 2)

In this next sermon from Hebrews 10:19-25 titled “Quit Playin, Church,” Pastor Battle continues to explore what it looks like for Christians to get serious about our faith. We must first realize that faith is developed in community (v. 25) - it takes others to help us go deeper in faith, encouraging and challenging us to become who God has called us to be. When we are in community with others, we must also be sure to provoke and encourage love and good works (v. 24). As followers of Jesus, we should be people that stir up goodness in others and inspire those in our lives to demonstrate the love of God. Finally, we need to exercise our profession knowing God is faithful (v. 23). God keeps His promises; we just need to keep on praying, trusting, and believing in God.
