Why Are New Seasons So Hard?
In this sermon from Zechariah 4:6-10 titled “Why Are New Seasons So Hard?,” Pastor Battle explores why many of us find it difficult to adjust to the new seasons we face in life. To see the new things God is doing and remain patient in the process, we must learn how to consistently ask God for clarity (vs. 1-7); when we ask God for revelation and fresh perspective, it is a reminder to stay humble as we understand we cannot do anything without God. We must also depend on God’s power as it is God’s power that gives us the strength to both wait on God and do what God instructs (vs. 6-8). Finally, Zechariah reminds us that we need to rejoice in small beginnings because a small beginning is a reminder that God is up to something (v. 10). Small beginnings demonstrate that God can get the glory even when others can’t see what God is doing.
